Falasteeni Shuhadaa jo pardais mein kaam aaye

Mein jahan par bhi gaya arz-e watan
Teri tazleel ke daaghon ki jalan dil mein liye
Teri hurmat ke chiraaghon ki lagan dil mein liye
Teri ulfat, teri yaadon ki kasak saath gayee
Teray naaranj shagoofon ki mehek saath gayee
Saaray an-dekhay rafeeqon ka jilo saath raha
Kitnay haathon se hum-aaghosh mera haath raha
Duur pardais ki bay-mehr guzargaahon mein
Ajnabi shehr ki bay-naam-o-nishaan raahon mein
Jis zameen par bhi khula meray lahoo ka parcham
Lehlahata hai wahan arz-e falasteen ka 'alam
Teray a'adaa ne kiya aik falasteen barbaad
Meray zakhmon ne kiye kitnay falasteen aabaad

For The Palestinian Martyrs
Faiz Ahmed Faiz
Translated by Daud Kamal

Wherever I go,
My beloved land,
The pain of your humiliation
Burns my heart.
But there are compensations.
Your dignity enhances mine.
Your love walks with me.
The fragrance of your citrus groves
Breathes through my mouth.
All those friends
Whom I have never seen
Keep me company.
Their hands
Which I have never clasped
Make mine invincible.
Far away
On the indifferent highways
Of foreign lands
Or on the unfamiliar streets
Of alien cities,
Wherever I unfurl the banner of my blood
There flutters the flag of Palestine.
One Palestine has been destroyed
By my enemies
But my agony has given birth
To innumerable Palestines.

today during university times, i found some hours to explore a book store. and while exploring journals i saw Khallej Time and on the front (its in front of me) a very small boy crying so badly, his face bruised, tears flowing all across his face - i was instantly taken aback and completely shocked. i confess i did care a very little, thought hamas wasn't justified to kill isarelis as well. hamas may be wrong. but with little exploration i found that UN hadn't recognized Palestine ever a state, bush was a part of 1850 resolution. there's no law israel may be threatened by; its all wrecklessness of a powerful state.

but arab governments are pathetic to me. qatar had offered an Emergency Arab Meeting on 30th Dec. saudi arabia rejected it saying, "there's no point in attending an Arab Summit of statements, without having the right conditions for success and influence." Wreck less point as. When UN gen. assembly even admits its reckless on the part of israel, whole world does, they try to poise like military strategists, but 'they fail to draw strong response as a TOLL from israeli BARBARISM'.....

Where are we? The silence of the whole Muslim Ummah(their leaders) is mortifying. Naeemeh, remember how Dr.I.S. said that if we don't feel anything for them,"tu hum apne imaan ki kher mana lein"...
I'm scared of it.. where do we stand...
