How else could he have defined his art...

*sigh*.. I WISH I could understand this thing..

Could you perhaps, try your hand at translating it? Or ... er .. for dimwitted souls like me, maybe explain in a few lines what he MEANS by this....

JazakAllah.. :S
:)

You know what, I am taking a course this semester called Translation studies and I have realised that strangely Iqbal's poetry resists translation but yes I will try explaining what he means in another post soon inshaAllah. Will write it for you specially :)

Wa Iyyaki!

The lost still seek the destiny though - if only Iqbal had known whither would be recede...*sad*

Uni's comment took me back to my.. u know what days :)

I remember Dr. I.S saying somethign of the similar kind. Remember he quoted Iqbal in that too. You write or create only when you go through something harsh or something that hurts you alot. "jigar ka khoon hona" kinda stuff...I ccan't even explain it here. I think I should better leave it before I ruin it!
Salman:

True. If only people read and understood Iqbal... Sigh

Asma:

:) you should have elaborated more on this. You've read Iqbal so much, ma sha Allah!
